Data Analyst

Salt is partnering with an incredible technology company in CA (Culver City or Santa Clara Valley) looking for a seasoned Data Analyst with experience working closely with Marketing and Data Analytics teams to produce monthly & quarterly data driven marketing reports.

This is a hybrid contract/ freelance opportunity, with an immediate start through July 2024 and a possibility to extend for the right candidate. And an opportunity to work with a world-class brand as part of their US Music Publishing marketing team.

The ideal candidate (YOU) will have:

• A passion for data and numbers.
• Strong data and analytic skills, and experience in data modeling to interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing data driven marketing reports.
• Ability to acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
• Ability to filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
• Experience identifying, analyzing and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets. Turning data into information and insights that supports business decisions.
• Experience develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
• Knowledge of or experience working on subscription businesses is a plus.

Skills required:

• Python, API Integration, SQL, Tableau, Tableau Prep, Data Engineering (mid-level), Excel, Big Data
• Snowflake (Nice to have)
• Ability to work with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Desire to define new process improvement opportunities.
