UI/UX Software Developer-OPIR (TS/SCI clearance – CI poly)

We are partnering with a specialized defense and intelligence consultancy focused on delivering cutting-edge R&D and software solutions to U.S. government agencies. Their work is centered around advanced sensing, data fusion, and real-time intelligence capabilities for national security missions.

They are currently seeking a UI/UX Software Developer to support a high-visibility OPIR (Overhead Persistent Infrared) program. This role involves building user-centric, high-performance front-end solutions that translate complex backend data into clear, actionable visual interfaces. You’ll join a mid-sized, cross-functional team delivering innovative applications that directly support the DoD and Intelligence Community.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement intuitive UI/UX solutions for OPIR applications and sensor-based systems.
• Work collaboratively across application and platform teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Translate large-scale remote sensing and image processing data into user-friendly visual environments.
• Lead the design, scoping, and deployment of cloud-based software tools.
• Solve complex problems in fast-paced, collaborative R&D settings.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of software development experience including application design, modification, and implementation.
• Strong Python coding skills and experience with modern web development stacks.
• Experience with cloud-native tool development and implementation.
• Background in image processing, data exploitation, or algorithm development.
• Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and drive user-focused solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly (non-negotiable).

Desired Skills

• Experience using both front-end and back-end technologies to build full-stack solutions.
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools such as Git.
• Experience with containerization tools and techniques.
• Ability to gather and interpret user requirements and optimize workflows through automation.

Experience Level Guidelines (Education/Experience Substitutions Allowed)

• Mid-level: BA/BS + 4 years of experience
• Senior-level: BA/BS + 10 years of experience
• SME: MA/MS + 18 years of experience
