My client, a reputable company, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team at their Woodmead, Johannesburg branch. This is a great opportunity to bring your accounting expertise to a dynamic, multi-branch operation.
Requirements:
- BCom degree in Accounting or Finance (or similar)
- 4+ years of post-graduate experience in accounting
- Retail experience is a bonus
- Proficiency in IQ Retail / Sage Evo
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- Willingness to travel locally as required
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle Bookkeeping to Trial Balance
- Oversee daily Cash Ups and manage Cash Flow
- Conduct Creditor Reconciliations and Debtors Management
- Manage Inventory across multiple warehouses and lead Stock Takes
- Prepare and review Management Reports and oversee Branch Accounting
- Process Payments (FNB) and handle Salary Reconciliations
- Prepare statutory returns: Return of Earnings, Income Tax Returns, Provisional Tax Returns, VAT Returns, and VAT Recons
- Calculate Interest for Group Company Loans
- Assist in setting up financial processes for new branches
