  • Reporting and Compliance: Consolidate monthly management accounts, provide insightful variance analysis, ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAPs, manage external audit processes for timely finalization of audited financial statements, and, along with the Group IT Director, drive improvement in current reporting efficiencies for accurate and timeous reports.
  • Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Monitor and manage divisional cash flows, including intercompany funding arrangements, working capital, and capital expenditure; identify risks to liquidity and implement corrective measures; and oversee treasury functions and foreign currency exposures.
  • Commercial & Project Finance Support: Review major contracts and capital projects for financial viability and risk exposure; monitor project-level performance, profitability, and cash flow burn rates; and build on established relationships with key banking partners to drive improvement in funding structures.
  • Governance & Risk Management: Ensure robust internal control frameworks are in place and adhered to in each entity; lead financial risk assessments across jurisdictions, including taxation, foreign exchange, compliance, and operational risks; and serve as the key point of contact for legal, tax, and regulatory matters impacting the division.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Professional Qualification: Non-negotiable CA(SA).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 10-15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role overseeing multi-country operations.
    • Strong commercial exposure and understanding of the construction and/or contract mining industry (construction preferred).
    • Strong working knowledge of IFRS.
    • Comfortable with ERP systems; experience with Sage X3 is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Strong commercial and strategic acumen.
    • Ability to work under pressure, manage complexity, and ensure cash flow discipline.
    • Proven ability to build high-performance finance teams in decentralized environments.
    • Comfortable working knowledge of ERP systems and a strong driver in linking both IT and finance functions.
  • Travel: Expected travel of 20-25% to various international offices and project sites.
