As the Demand & Supply Planning Manager, you will be in charge of developing and sustaining the rolling demand plan for finished goods and this involves utilising statistical models within APO / IBP and incorporating insights from Sales, Marketing and Finance.
You will be responsible for overseeing the supply flow to maintain 100% stock availability and optimise inventory levels, and ensuring alignment with the company’s financial and sales plans.
In a nut shell your daily duties will include Demand Planning, S&OP Planning, Supply Planning, Innovation, People Management and Continuous Improvement.
Responsibilities
Responsible for analysing the historical sales data, trends, base growth, distribution, market share and analyse a statistical forecast.
Determine the Operations Demand Plan in order to align with the Sales Demand Plan.
Challenge the latest sales demand plan, to understand underlying assumptions and compare with the Operations Demand Plan.
Implement the globally balanced S&OP in the local supply planning execution.
Provide to the Operations Manager with a rolling forecast for 3PLs on inbound and outbound volumes.
Lead solutions findings and execution of demand and supply imbalances.
Establish and manage inventory levels to ensure no out of stocks, inventory levels according to business plans and ensure healthy product age according to the quality guidelines.
Collaborate with Finance & Sales to establish long term SKU portfolio management based on complexity and costs matrix.
Act as facilitation and coach, support and develop cross functional skills of oneself as well as Planning and Operations team.
Skills and Experience
5 years work experience in Demand & Supply Planning, Sales Forecasting and Marketing Activities.
Understand retail accounts operations, forecasting technology, systems, market research data and supply chain management.
Data and Analytically Driven, conduct complex, quantitative, and statistical analyses complimented with qualitative inputs in order to make recommendations.
Advanced Excel Skills and interactive data visualisations and business intelligence – Power BI and Tableau
Solution Driven and Problem Solving Mindset.
Strong Communication and Leadership Skills – presentations and training.
Experience in SAP – ERP & Planning tools including IBP.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field with undergraduate statistical analysis or engineering focus
APICS certification
