Brand Strategist

Salary: R 60 000.00 to R 70 000.00 CTC per month (depending on experience)

Location: Johannesburg (Hybrid – twice per week in-office)

Overview:

A leading global brand design agency within one of the world’s largest marketing networks is seeking a Senior Brand Strategist for their Johannesburg office. This role will be responsible for leading strategic brand initiatives and driving transformative solutions for world-class clients. The position involves developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies, mentoring junior team members, and fostering strong client relationships while collaborating with a global network of creative professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Lead end-to-end brand strategy projects including naming, positioning, and architecture initiatives.
• Team Development: Guide and mentor junior strategists to build high-performing teams and deliver exceptional work.
• Client Management: Present strategic recommendations and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Business Growth: Identify and develop opportunities to expand existing client partnerships.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with global teams to ensure cohesive strategy execution.
• Project Management: Drive complex brand initiatives from conception through implementation.
• Communications Strategy: Develop effective brand communication frameworks and guidelines.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across multiple levels.
• Strategic Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform brand recommendations.
• Innovation: Drive creative thinking and novel approaches to brand challenges.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in brand or communications strategy
• Proven track record of successful project leadership across diverse industries
• Outstanding presentation and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategic thinking into actionable plans
• Track record of driving business results through strategic brand initiatives
