Location: Cape Town (Hybrid – 2 x per week in-office)

Overview:

Join a growing, boutique digital agency that’s making waves in the performance marketing space. As part of a passionate and collaborative team, they’re looking for a hands-on Performance Marketing Manager to lead and scale their paid media efforts across some exciting e-commerce, retail, and tech brands.

This is a key role for someone with deep experience in paid media, particularly Meta and Google Ads and the strategic mindset to help shape the future of a growing department. You’ll be involved in everything from campaign build and optimisation to reporting, tracking, and mentoring, all while working closely with a high-energy team that values autonomy and ownership.

Please note: This role leans heavily into paid social (approx. 85%) with the balance across Google and other paid platforms. It’s a hybrid role, based in Cape Town, with in-office collaboration twice a week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimise paid social and search campaigns daily (primarily Meta/Facebook and Google Ads)
  • Develop performance-focused media strategies across e-commerce and lead-gen brands
  • Oversee ad copy, audience targeting, budget tracking, and campaign structure
  • Troubleshoot platform issues and implement tracking setups (pixels, tags, events)
  • Prepare insightful weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports using Looker Studio
  • Set up new ad accounts and onboarding processes for new clients
  • Liaise with internal team members and contribute to campaign planning sessions
  • Champion processes, systems, and structure within the paid media department
  • Stay up to date with paid platform changes and best practices
  • Contribute to building out templates, processes, and knowledge-sharing within the agency

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ hands-on experience in Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads
  • Strong understanding of media strategy, audience segmentation, A/B testing, and funnel optimisation
  • Experience with LinkedIn, TikTok, and Twitter ads beneficial
  • Confident using Looker Studio, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and similar tools
  • Excellent reporting and analysis skills
  • Facebook/Meta Blueprint and Google Ads certifications
