Job Advert: Accounts Payable Controller

Are you a skilled and motivated individual with a passion for financial support and efficient payment processes? We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Controller to join our dynamic finance team and play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payments while managing procurement activities.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounting and clerical duties related to accounts payable transactions.
• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Oversee the monthly invoicing process, including reviewing and verifying invoices for adherence to company policy and procedural requirements.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team as required.
• Maintain historical customer records and administer the employee reimbursement process.
• Capture the monthly company management accounts and administer the Credit card and Insurance claim application process.
• Assist in selecting suitable suppliers and contractors, promoting ethical procurement standards, sustainability, and costing to the company.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Develop supplier sourcing strategies aligned with business strategy and competitive advantage.
• Monitor and control asset expenses against approved budgets, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
• Maintain supplier relationships through Service Level Agreements and effective vendor management.
• Coordinate activities to realize value from tangible and intangible assets, balancing costs, opportunities, and risks.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum Accounting/Finance Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Creditors/Accounts Payable environment.
• Ability to independently manage the Creditors function.
• Proficient in MS Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel (preferably advanced skills).
• Proficiency and comprehensive understanding of Accounting Packages such as Zoho Box, QuickBooks, Sage.
