Our client is a technology company that focuses on providing cybersecurity technologies to companies to help improve IT security using cybersecurity solutions. The role involves generating pre-qualified leads for the Sales Team within organisations based in South Africa and abroad, by sourcing, contacting and qualifying prospects via email, LinkedIn or phone, and to progress sales opportunities.
About the role:
Sourcing leads through LinkedIn and/or online research.
Researching leads and evaluating possible solutions that may be of interest.
Contacting companies telephonically or via email / LinkedIn.
Connecting with the appropriate decision maker.
Understanding the prospect’s current IT and cybersecurity platforms, business needs, interest and timelines and aligning these needs with appropriate Grove solutions.
Securing their interest in meeting with a Business Development Manager.
Following up with prospective clients after meetings
Co-ordinating the next steps with the client.
Building a strong network of ongoing relationships.
Keeping CRM system (Salesforce) system up to date.
About you:
Tertiary education preferred (Degree or Diploma)
Excellent communication skills in English – both verbal and written
A high energy level and drive
Tenacious and goal-driven
Confidence to communicate with senior business decision-makers
Experience in generating your own leads using various technology platforms e.g. LinkedIn etc will be highly advantageous
An entrepreneurial mindset
A lateral thinker and who can think on their feet.
