As part of their ongoing growth and development, we are seeking a talented Business Programme Manager to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. This role will play a pivotal part in coordinating a series of smaller projects across various business units, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Role Overview:

As the Business Programme Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of non-IT focused projects aimed at addressing business needs and driving operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders from different business units to identify gaps, define requirements, manage budgets and finances, oversee SLAs and third-party relationships, and integrate business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a series of smaller projects aimed at addressing business needs and improving operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various business units to identify gaps, define requirements, and develop project scopes and objectives.
  • Manage project budgets, finances, and resources effectively to ensure projects are delivered within agreed-upon timelines and budgets.
  • Oversee service level agreements (SLAs) and third-party relationships to ensure adherence to contractual agreements and service delivery standards.
  • Drive integration of business operations to optimize efficiency and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, key milestones, and performance metrics.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the project team and across business units.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in programme or project management, preferably in a retail or similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, processes, and requirements gathering.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, finances, and resources effectively.
  • Experience with SLA management, vendor management, and third-party relationship management.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
