Head of Product

This client is a household name in the restaurant game in South Africa. They are looking for a Head of Product who can leverage their experience to deliver great products across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Set product vision and strategy in line with the organisation’s IT strategy.
• Drive development and enhancement of new and existing products.
• Ensure superior user experience across all products.
• Mentor and lead the Product team.
• Coordinate with business, technology, and support teams to achieve a unified product-led vision.
• Establish and manage partnerships for product development.
• Oversee product development activities and resolve resource constraints.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the product life cycle.
• Proactively address risks across the product development life cycle.

Key Capabilities:

• Strong product management background, especially in restaurant guest experiences, digital, and data-led business systems.
• Experience in matrix interaction with business, technology, support, security, and architectural teams.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree.
• Over 10 years of leadership experience in CTO, IT Management, or Product Management roles.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and product management principles.
• Proven track record in process improvement and creative problem-solving.
• Excellent negotiation and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
