About the Client:
We are working with our partner, a prominent consumer-focused agri-business in Africa, known for its commitment to excellence and innovation. As part of their ongoing strategic initiatives, they are seeking a talented Solution Delivery: Functional Lead to join their dynamic team.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Solution Delivery & PMO Manager, the Solution Delivery: Functional Lead will play a pivotal role in the client’s IT Department. The successful candidate will lead a team of Functional Solution Owners across business applications to design and deliver integrated business processes and solutions based on business requirements and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement the Solution Development Vision and Strategy.
Lead the Functional Solution Owners team to take ownership of the Functional Solution landscape.
Define and own the Functional Solution strategy and Roadmap for the enterprise.
Facilitate delivery and compliance of applications to all requirements, policies, and standards.
Jointly responsible for Application Integration Service supplier performance.
Manage and quality assurance of the Application/Business Solution Portfolio.
Interpret business needs and develop IT strategy for Business Solutions.
Collaborate with solution owners to ensure a robust architectural runway.
Assess Technology Solutions and recommend to Group IT and Business Functions.
Ensure processes and tools are in place to identify critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
Provide consulting support to solution architects and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
Develop service strategies for business Solution Services and conduct lifecycle planning.
Manage relationships with internal and external Business Solution/Application service vendors.
Lead and support the Solution Delivery Functional team.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or relevant tertiary qualification.
Minimum 10 years of experience in implementing and managing SAP solutions.
Extensive experience across a range of SAP modules and integration areas.
Minimum 10 years of people management and leadership experience.
Deep understanding of SAP capabilities, processes, and solutions.
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
Proficiency in requirement gathering and solution design.
Hands-on configuration and testing experience.
Knowledge of integration standards and technologies.
Strong analytical, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong business analysis skills.
Well-developed business acumen.
Advanced skills in MS Office.
Willingness to travel to various locations within and outside South Africa.
