Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager (Software Engineering & Architecture)

About the Role:

Our client, a consumer-focused agri-business, is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager with a strong background in software engineering and architecture to join their dynamic team. In this dual role, the Senior IT Project Manager will act as a bridge between project management and architecture, leveraging their technical expertise to guide and provide input on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads and manages technical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
• Serves as a subject matter expert in software engineering and architecture, providing guidance and insights to project teams.
• Works closely with 3rd party architects and stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and principles.
• Acts as the primary point of contact for project-related architectural discussions, with a dotted line to Enterprise Architecture.
• Facilitates communication and collaboration between project teams, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Manages project risks, issues, and dependencies, and proactively identifies solutions to mitigate potential roadblocks.
• Ensures adherence to project management best practices, methodologies, and standards.
• Provides regular updates and reports on project progress, milestones, and key performance indicators to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven track record of experience in project management, with a focus on software engineering and architecture.
• Ability to provide technical inputs in to architectural designs and processes.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices.
• Experience in managing complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
• In-depth knowledge of architecture principles, patterns, and standards, with previous experience in an architecture role preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
