🔍 Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Level 2 Network Engineer to join our infrastructure team. The successful candidate will provide second-line support, manage escalated technical issues, and contribute to the stability and scalability of our network environment. This role demands hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, MPLS, and enterprise-grade network troubleshooting.

🧠 Key Responsibilities

• Provide second-level support for network-related incidents and service requests escalated from Level 1
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance across routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues across LAN/WAN, VPN, and MPLS environments
• Assist in deploying and upgrading networking hardware and software
• Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and change records
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers for issue resolution
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend permanent fixes for recurring issues
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when required
• Ensure network configurations comply with security policies and best practices

🧰 Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years in network support or engineering roles
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar technologies
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Airwaves Aruba, or ControlUp
• Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux environments
• Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining LAN/WAN, VPN, and MPLS networks
• Strong documentation and change management skills

🎓 Qualifications & Certifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• CCNA certification or equivalent (preferred)
• Additional certifications in network security or cloud networking are advantageous
