Job Title: Mobile App Developer – Android (Payments)

About the Opportunity

I am currently partnering with a client in the payments space who is looking to bring on board a talented Mobile App Developer. This is a newly created role that will play a key part in building and scaling mobile solutions across Android, iOS, HarmonyOS, and Web apps. If you’re passionate about secure mobile development and have hands-on experience in payments integration, this could be the perfect role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications across Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS.
• Building robust integrations with payment gateways, APIs, and other financial systems.
• Collaborating with product managers and backend teams to deliver smooth, secure, and user-friendly experiences.
• Writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Troubleshooting and optimising app performance.
• Staying ahead of mobile trends, payments innovation, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS).

What We’re Looking For

• 3-5+ years’ professional Android development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java/Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Proven experience integrating payment gateways/APIs.
• Solid understanding of mobile security (tokenisation, encryption, PCI-DSS).
• Background in RESTful APIs, JSON, and backend integration.
• Exposure to iOS development, Flutter/React Native, or fintech/e-commerce environments.
• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related field (advantageous but not essential).
