QA Lead

Fantastic opportunity available for a QA Lead in Cape Town!

In this position you will champion the quality of my clients software development & deployment. You will oversee QA processes, tools, and team, ensuring that their software solutions meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.

Main Responsibilities include:

• Develop, implement, and manage quality assurance strategies and testing frameworks to ensure the software meets its functional, performance, and security requirements
• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and customer support teams to understand user needs and ensure that the solutions exceed their expectations
• Design, execute, and oversee a comprehensive suite of manual and automated tests, identifying bugs and issues with precision and efficiency
• Drive the adoption of best practices in QA, including test automation, continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD) processes
• Analyse test results, report on software quality, and work with the development team to prioritise and resolve issues

The Ideal Candidate:

• Be an experienced QA professional with a strong background in software quality assurance and a proven track record of leading QA teams to success
• Proficient in designing and implementing effective testing strategies, including both manual and automated testing approaches
• Familiarity with QA methodologies, testing tools (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.), and issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Xray)
• A critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, able to identify and address complex issues in software quality
• Be skilled in both front end and back end testing
