SAP HCM Support Manager

We’re on the lookout for a seasoned SAP HCM Support Manager to take lead of SAP HR systems support and delivery across an organisation.

This role goes beyond basic systems maintenance. It’s about driving strategic value, leading delivery, and enabling smarter HR operations through technology.

Reporting directly to the Executive: Systems and Enabling Technology, you’ll be the go-to authority on all things SAP HCM, managing a small, skilled team and working closely with senior HR stakeholders to ensure the platform supports both day-to-day operations and long-term business goals.

Your Role at a Glance:

  • Lead SAP HCM delivery and support across the group, ensuring stability, performance, and user satisfaction.
  • Oversee end-to-end project management for HR system enhancements and implementations – from scoping to go-live.
  • Proactively manage support incidents, root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution with minimal disruption.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR leadership, guiding decisions on SAP HCM functionality, best practices, and roadmap planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement, keeping the system aligned with evolving business needs and HR strategy.
  • Coach, mentor, and manage a dedicated support team (currently three direct reports) while fostering a collaborative, high-performing work culture.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • Extensive SAP HCM experience, including both functional configuration and systems support.
  • A proven track record in leading HRIS/SAP-related projects, ideally across large, multi-entity organisations.
  • Solid understanding of core HR processes, and how they translate into SAP HCM modules (PA, OM, Time, Payroll, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills – you’re confident navigating between technical teams and business users.
  • Experience working with internal teams and external vendors, with the ability to drive accountability and deliver results.
  • A forward-thinking mindset with a natural ability to bridge HR and IT to create seamless, scalable solutions.

Key Requirements:

  • 8+ years SAP HCM experience.
  • With 5 full implementations
  • 2+ years in a leadership/technical management role
  • SAP Payroll & Time config expertise
  • SAP HCM Certification (4.6 or later) is essential.

Advantageous: SAP ECC, SuccessFactors, S4/HANA HXM, Shared Services experience
