Overview

Managing technology, platform, software, and integration changes within SAP landscapes can become complex. Maintaining visibility of all SAP-related projects, roadmaps, and initiatives is crucial for ensuring success.

The SAP Platforms Management Function is responsible for managing and prioritizing all initiatives impacting the current SAP landscape, ensuring system stability from a technology, platform, and resource perspective. The function proactively engages with teams and stakeholders to manage changes and align them with strategic objectives.

Key Outputs

• Centralized visibility and management of SAP platform initiatives
• Alignment with company strategic objectives and SAP roadmaps
• Adherence to SAP CoE standards and governance
• Support prioritization and impact assessment of platform initiatives
• Proactive monitoring of SAP systems
• Manage execution of roadmaps impacting the SAP environment
• Explore and identify opportunities for cost savings

Responsibilities

• Contribute to SAP platform operational and technical plans in alignment with enterprise architecture and IT strategies.
• Support risk management by ensuring processes and procedures comply with governance principles.
• Ensure solutions for business requirements align with SAP platform strategies and agreed roadmaps.
• Produce timely management reports aligned with communication plans for stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with SAP CoE technical teams, solution architects, and SAP Basis teams to support continuous improvements.
• Centrally manage shared SAP landscapes, working closely with SAP Basis teams.
• Ensure SAP landscapes remain updated and aligned with best practices.
• Proactively monitor systems, jobs, interfaces, data volumes, custom code, and integrations.
• Assess, prioritize, and execute SAP platform initiatives through a centralized roadmap.
• Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Provide input regarding funding requirements for SAP platform initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 10+ years of IT experience
• 8+ years of SAP experience

Knowledge

• SAP development concepts and architecture
• IT best practices and governance frameworks
• Complex IT environments (technical, security, business)
• IT Service Management principles (ITIL 4)
• Project and program management tools and methods
• Understanding of the insurance industry
• Compliance frameworks
