SAP Portfolio & Resource Manager

We are looking for a results-driven SAP Portfolio and Resource Manager to oversee and optimise a broad range of SAP projects and initiatives across the enterprise.

This role requires strong strategic alignment, governance oversight, and resource planning to ensure SAP investments deliver measurable value and business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage a centralised SAP project portfolio to support visibility, agility, and business alignment.
• Oversee small to mid-sized SAP project delivery using best practice project management methodologies.
• Align SAP initiatives with strategic roadmaps, architectural standards, and enterprise governance frameworks.
• Support prioritisation, scheduling, and resource allocation across all SAP-related programmes.
• Actively monitor SAP skills demand and support workforce planning.
• Facilitate the transition of requirements management into a Scaled Agile Framework environment.
• Promote cost efficiency, risk management, and high ROI across SAP initiatives.
• Track and report on portfolio performance, status, and milestones to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate across SAP CoE, IT teams, and business units to ensure seamless coordination and continuous improvement.
• Ensure portfolio compliance with governance frameworks and licensing strategies.
• Drive alignment across SAP technologies and the broader system landscape.

SAP Landscape & Technologies:

A conceptual understanding and familiarity with the following SAP products is essential:

• SAP S/4HANA Finance
• SAP SuccessFactors
• SAP ECC for HR
• SAP Insurance Analyser
• SAP Data Services
• SAP Analytics Cloud
• SAP Business Technology Platform

What You Bring:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Technology, or a related field.
• Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum).

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in an IT environment.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in SAP-related roles.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex SAP portfolios and cross-functional teams.

Skills & Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of SAP development, architecture, and service management (ITIL 4).
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of project and programme management frameworks.
• Knowledge of compliance and IT governance standards.
• Insurance industry knowledge (advantageous).
