SAP S/4 Finance Application Manager

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP Finance Application Manager to oversee and maintain smooth end-to-end technical support operations within the SAP S/4HANA Financial Systems platform. This role will also play a leading part in the design and delivery of new system solutions and major enhancements across SAP Finance and Procurement modules.

You will lead a team of technical experts while collaborating with business stakeholders, configuration specialists, developers, testers, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless service delivery, strong governance, and top-quality client support.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day technical support operations within SAP S/4HANA Finance.

• Receive, assess, and allocate JIRA requests, driving delivery against agreed timelines.

• Manage periodic client alignment sessions for prioritisation, escalations, and delivery planning.

• Ensure adherence to release, incident, and change management procedures.

• Maintain compliance with audit requirements in user access and change management.

• Plan and execute periodic system upgrades and maintenance activities.

• Provide guidance and act as a support expert to system analysts on solution design.

• Drive solution architecture design for high-impact system requirements.

• Deliver recommendations and direction on SAP S/4HANA platforms, tools, and methodologies.

• Manage interactions with third-party contributors and service providers.

• Lead, support, and grow a team of SAP Finance technical specialists.

Qualifications & Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• ITIL Certification or similar.

• Advanced knowledge of SAP service delivery principles and planning deliverables.

• Technical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA on-premise FI, CO, PS, MM, SD, EAM, MDG.

• Knowledge of SAP Data Services and SAP Insurance Analyzer (advantageous).

• Familiarity with SAP ABAP and Fiori (advantageous).

• Understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

Experience Required

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in SAP service delivery.

• At least 5 years in technical support of SAP S/4HANA Finance applications.

• Involvement in at least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA Finance or Procurement projects.
