Full Stack Java Developer (Retail POS Solutions) – International Retail Project

Location: Fully on-site, Belville CPT.

We’re working with a global leader in retail technology to find a seasoned Full Stack Java Developer to join a dynamic team building custom Point of Sale (POS) systems for major international retail clients.

This is a rare opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team that delivers enterprise-level retail tech across international markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based POS solutions
• Implement user interfaces using Java Swing, HTML5, and CSS
• Integrate third-party systems (SOAP, REST, iDocs) and hardware (card terminals, POS printers, fingerprint sensors)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system architecture and software design
• Generate documentation (UML, Wiki, SDKs) and reports using JasperReports and iText
• Work closely with international teams, using tools like JIRA and Confluence

Your Background

• 5+ years of Java development experience (enterprise and POS)
• Solid grasp of SAP retail integration concepts (advantageous)
• Strong understanding of UI/UX, SQL (Oracle/SQL Server), and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Eclipse, Spring, SVN, Junit, GWT, Jenkins, Nexus
• Familiar with PMLC methodologies
• Degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or related field
