Reporting to: Group QA Manager – UK

Location: Somerset West, Western Cape.

Job Summary:

As a Test Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of a SFCC website implementation. You will develop and execute detailed test plans and scripts, collaborating with development teams to identify test requirements. Your responsibilities will include identifying, logging, and tracking defects, as well as continuously updating test scripts to ensure they align with software iterations. You will be an advocate for Quality Assurance best practices, supporting overall testing processes and contributing to continuous improvements.

Main Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test scripts.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify test requirements.
  • Identify, log, and track defects through resolution.
  • Work closely with other QA teams/members to support overall testing processes.
  • Continuously update test scripts to ensure currency with software iterations.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to planning and retrospectives.
  • Ensure the highest quality standards are met in all aspects of testing.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and cases.
  • Provide input for continuous improvements in the testing processes.

Skills (Essential):

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills for analytics.
  • Resilience and ability to work at pace in ambiguous situations.
  • High sense of urgency with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Skills (Desirable):

  • Test automation scripting skills in tools such as Selenium, Egg Plant, Load Runner, and Protractor.
  • Knowledge of programming languages commonly used in test automation, such as Python, Java, or C#.

Knowledge (Essential):

  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, including Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Good understanding of defect & testing tools.
  • 3+ years ERP experience, mainly D365 or other ERP (e.g., NAV, SAP).
  • 3+ years ECOM experience, mainly SFCC or other ECOM platforms.

Knowledge (Desirable):

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Applications.
  • Knowledge of Automated Testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, etc.

Experience:

  • 5+ years QA/BA experience.
  • Functional test planning, preparation, and execution.
  • Excellent communication with stakeholder management.
  • Working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of one or more source configuration management and defect tracking systems.
  • Strong functional understanding of common retail and e-commerce systems.
  • Confident manner in giving presentations and workshops.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • ISTQB Foundation/Advanced Level certification or relevant experience.
