Estimator Job with Project Management Experience, Western Sydney

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimation: Prepare accurate and comprehensive project estimates, considering materials, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Project Management: Oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analysis and risk assessments to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to understand their project requirements, providing transparent and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, and finance, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Tendering: Ability to build rapport and deliver success in tender processes
  • Strong knowledge of estimating fundamentals and project management.
  • Relationship building
  • Cultivate and maintain professional relationships within the workplace.
  • Develop strong ties with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Actively promote the company culture
  • Ensure compliance with and contribute to the improvement of the company’s Quality Assurance system.
  • Review and incorporate project specifications and drawing details within tender bids.
  • Accommodate client-based QA systems within tender bids.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator with a strong background in Project Management.
  • Trade or tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or relevant estimating experience in the construction/landscape construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating and project management in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software.
  • Landscaping experience is preferable.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Familiarity with Australian contract standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and preferably Active Take Off.
  • Strong mathematical skills

  • Exceptional time management skills
