Financial Management Reporting Lead

Our client (based in Melbourne CBD) is a large global Tech organisation (USA GAAP) with multiple offices across Australia and New Zealand. As the Financial Management Reporting Lead, you will lead the reporting function and will be both “hands-on” and be part of strategy and operations up until the end of June 2023 however this role may lead to other opportunities across the business as business has major growth.

The role provides the technical skills and expertise to deliver the financial accounting and reporting obligations. This person will play a pivotal role in supporting the Group Accounting team and be involved in a range of end-to-end accounting tasks across the Group including but not limited to financial audits, consolidations, indirect taxes (e.g., BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax), analysis and reconciliations as well as playing a role in driving strategic and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will have Oracle end-to-end reporting experience ideally be agile and passionate with automation initiatives as constantly improving.

In summary, the role will vary with peaks and flows and as follows main duties: –

• Financial reporting preparation – end-to-end statutory reporting.
• Provide & be the “go-to person” for technical accounting support across the wider business.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits with Senior management as well as external audit relationships.
• Responsible for reporting submissions, and surveys to APRA and other bodies
• Liaise with the Tax team to support external financial reporting.
• Be involved with ad hoc projects too.

Skills and Experience

You will be a qualified & experienced CPA and qualified Financial Accountant with 7 years plus experience. Desirable to Big 4 accounting background. Also, strong engagement & comfortable working with front-line and mid-management teams with strong business acumen. As a large highly matrixed and global organization you will provide the ability to develop relationships and partnerships (internal and external) at all levels of organisation, exhibiting strong leadership and influencing skills, and lead change management initiatives.

Benefits

This role and company are an exciting market leader. The hourly rate will vary however works out to be $180 – $190K + super (or hourly rate $99.67 + super). Based in Melbourne CBD, they are really flexible with working @ home and coming into the office when essential. However, the office has a vibrant and enjoyable working culture.
