Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Specialist

  • Location: Melbourne (Hybrid – 2 days per week in-office)
  • Salary: $130k – $140k + super (with performance-based incentives)
  • Role Type: Full-time Permanent

Our client is a leading digital marketplace in the luxury travel sector.

They adopt a content-led marketing strategy, which has driven significant traffic to their website. Due to this growth, they have created a brand-new role for a CRO Specialist to further accelerate their digital success.

Key Objectives

As a CRO Specialist, you will work across the entire user journey-from marketing channel entry to conversion endpoints-driving measurable improvements in business performance. You’ll take charge of ensuring their websites and digital experiences continually evolve to meet user needs, leveraging data analysis, UX/UI best practices, and A/B testing.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the optimisation of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) to drive business growth
  • Identify opportunities for conversion improvements and create initiatives to enhance performance
  • Conduct A/B and multivariate testing, heatmap analysis, and user behavior studies to optimise conversion points
  • Collaborate with content teams to refine messaging and copy, improving engagement and conversions
  • Provide regular reports on conversion metrics, test results, and their impact on revenue
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive strategies, and new tools to keep the platform at the forefront of the market

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in CRO, digital optimisation, or a similar role
  • Proven track record of improving conversion rates and revenue metrics
  • Strong proficiency with analytics tools (GA4 is a must) and testing platforms
  • Experience with heatmapping and session recording tools
  • Solid understanding of SEO principles and their impact on conversion
  • Knowledge of UX/UI best practices
  • Experience in financial services or affiliate marketing is a plus
  • Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
