Salt Search is partnering exclusively with a reputable Global Market Leader that offers extensive services to all corporate clients. Due to growth, we have a rare opportunity for an experienced strategic and passionate Business Development Professional (who has worked in services industry) to focus on new and endless business opportunities with government/defence and commercial portfolios!

As a Business Development Manager (Strategic) based in Melbourne , you will be responsible for developing and executing growth strategies, supporting ongoing account management, and building strategic relationships.

Key Responsibilities and not limited to:

  • Develop and execute growth strategies not only with Government/Defence verticals but Commercial sectors which is endless. Even through this market is competitive, you will be able to deliver through a very strong service delivery offering as strong reputation and brand.
  • Provide market intelligence to influence business objectives and support decision-making. You will have access to great systems and processes and subject matter experts.
  • Drive growth in a focused manner to achieve business goals, including revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities, working closely with the Bids & Growth Solutions Team.
  • Foster cross-business collaboration and promote excellence in service delivery.
  • Create strong and long-term sustainable relationships through activities of facilitating meetings, presenting, networking etc.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong consultative business development skills and passion for their craft
  • Experience in working in a Service Industry with understanding of the Sales Cycle with commercial tender experience. This company is global, and you will have access to tender writer and subject matter experts. However you have proven ability to collaborate with the team to meet deadlines.
  • Must have a proven successes and a high-performance mindset.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed for engagements.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and work with minimum supervision.
  • Innovative thinker with a fact-based decision-making approach.
  • Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Values teamwork, accountability, and progress.

Salary and Benefits

Base Salary is $180-$200K + super + car allowance + commission.
