Electrical Business Manager – Data Centres

Our client is a leading global building services brand, expanding into a new vertical within the Data Centre infrastructure space. They are now seeking an experienced individual to join their team and take the lead in developing and managing this growing business area.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager, Supervisor, Operations Manager, Sales Manager with expertise in Data Centre projects to be part of an ambitious strategy, build and develop their own vertical and team, and drive the success of a key business unit.

Supported by an experienced senior management team, you will be empowered to grow the business and rewarded for your efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your network to identify opportunities and tenders within the Data Centre industry across ANZ.
  • As a specialist in Electrical, Data & Comms within Construction and Maintenance projects, you will be involved in tenders, pricing, negotiation, and delivery.
  • Build and lead your own team with the support of a dedicated specialist, ie Talent Acquisition Manager and your own referrals.
  • Utilize your exceptional project and people management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • As the business grows, you’ll take on increased responsibility, including people growth and development, top-line and bottom-line P&L management, and WHS responsibilities.
  • Play a key role in both operations and business strategy.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with companies in the Data Centre Vertical.
  • Engage in account management, business development, presenting, and networking.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A well-established network and experience in the Data Centre sector in Australia.
  • A qualification in Electrical Trade or Engineering (highly advantageous).
  • At least 10 years of experience working on projects within the Electrical, Data, and Comms space, covering Construction, Build, and Maintenance.
  • Strong management and communication skills.
  • A proven ability to contribute to both strategy and operations.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to collaborate and engage with a larger team.
