Melbourne Contract / 12 months Up to AU$543 per day

Salt has partnered with a leading global fintech company, now seeking a seasoned Strategic Partnerships Manager to join their growing Partnerships team in Melbourne, or Sydney.

This role offers the opportunity to represent a leading fintech brand in Australia, shaping and executing partnership strategies to drive growth. Your key responsibilities will include identifying and securing new business partnerships, negotiating contracts, leading go-to-market initiatives, and fostering strong, long-term relationships with external stakeholders.

With a solid background in market analysis, business development, and partner relationship management, you will play a critical role in sourcing, structuring, and expanding strategic alliances. Comfortable engaging with executives at all levels, you will confidently present ideas, influence decision-makers, and contribute to the long-term vision. Reporting to the Head of Australia Partnerships, you will be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team that embraces challenges and sees them as opportunities for growth. This position is based in Melbourne, or Sydney CBD and follows a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, onboard, and manage strategic partners that contribute to business expansion in Australia.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with key industry players, including banks, telecom providers, trade associations, and wholesalers, as well as scaling the partner program for software vendors, service providers, and consultants.
  • Drive measurable outcomes, including ecosystem expansion, customer acquisition via partnerships, and partner-driven solution adoption.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s strategy, effectively communicating the value of its brand and product ecosystem.
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with both internal teams and external partners to maximize collaboration and long-term success.
  • Lead all aspects of the partnership lifecycle, from initial scoping and deal negotiation to strategic project execution, financial assessment, and ongoing partner management.
  • Work closely with teams across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Account Management, and Legal to align initiatives and ensure seamless execution.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 6+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or product management, with a strong background in deal-making and partner acquisition. (Fintech, payments industry experience highly desirable).
  • Ability to evaluate opportunities based on strategic alignment, brand impact, financial viability, and operational execution.
  • A forward-thinking approach with a passion for innovation and scaling new business opportunities.
  • Proven ability to engage and negotiate with senior business leaders to drive high-impact partnerships.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects with clear milestones and accountability frameworks.
  • Strong track record of managing intricate agreements and cross-functional initiatives at scale.
  • Comfortable working across various teams to drive results and align partnership goals with broader business objectives.

If you’re a strategic thinker with a passion for forging impactful partnerships and driving growth, we’d love to hear from you.
