Sales Development Representative

Sydney Contract AU$80000 - AU$82000 per annum

This global financial technology platform provider is one of the biggest SaaS providers in the world. Their award-winning programs support SMEs to digitise their strategies and simplify their processes. They are excited about their future and are now looking for a Sales Development Representative to join their existing sales team in Sydney on a 12-month contract.

The SDR will be responsible for creating sales-ready leads for the sales team and acting as their trusted advisor. You will have a background in phone-based selling and understand how to adopt a consultative sales approach to understand the client’s business to then make recommendations.

To be successful within this role you won’t be scared to jump on the phones and build connections with clients to make appointments for the sales team with the anticipation of a converted sale. What does your day-day look like?

  • Prospect, prepare and research your client’s business to then execute a need-based selling approach
  • Through phone-based selling, contact businesses to investigate and understand their business challenges and how the company’s product offering can assist their business operations
  • Build and maintain rapport with key stakeholders and add value to your client’s business by making recommendations of the best service option.
  • Provide a seamless transition from appointment to account management, including handover information to the sales team.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team to deliver effective targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive new business.

What you’ll bring to the role?

  • 2+ Years of B2B sales or telesales experience (SaaS or FinTech experience is preferred but mandatory)
  • Experience with phone-based selling and previous experience adopting a consultative sale approach.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and high levels of tenacity and resilience that have been developed and honed working in competitive sales environments.
  • Experience using SalesforceCRM
