Enterprise Data Engineering Lead

What you’ll bring:

• Provide technical leadership to BI/ETL Developers through design reviews, advising on implementation best practices, defining and refining release process and technical workshops.
• Design and develop innovative end-to-end analytics solutions that will meet the challenges faced by the organisation.
• Translate complex business requirements into technical designs.
• Responsible for solution design, technology debt, code security, code quality, code documentation, code deployment
• Responsible for confirming solution design and code estimates from partners.
• Design, develop and enhance data models, including physical and logical models for the legacy and new data warehouses.
• Design, develop and enhance ETL and batch data processes between different on-premise and cloud platforms (SaaS, PaaS and IaaS)
• Design and develop streaming pipelines for near real-time analytics solutions.
• Work with vendors to design, develop and test complete end to end analytics solutions or specific components to an analytics solution including data models, ETL, data pipelines etc.
• Collaborate with internal data science team to design and feed data mining structures and tables to facilitate ML/Advance Analytics.
• Manage data platform and analytics related releases and deployment and adhere to change control policies and procedures.
• Ensure source code is managed in the central code repository.
• Where practical, CI/CD principles should be followed.
• Document technical designs, solution architecture, development and release processes.
• Lead the system and unit testing of the Enterprise Data Platform.
• Provide data and analytics technical subject matter expertise and leading-edge thinking on trends, methodologies, tools and techniques that will be useful to the organisation.

What you’ll bring:

• More than 5 years of experience in ETL development, data modelling and data warehouse development.
• Advance skills in SQL code, SQL views, Stored Procs and SQL Server SSIS development.
• Experience with the following technologies:
• Visual Studio 2017
• C#
• XML and JSON
• SQL Job Agents
• Azure Dev Ops (Git repo)
• Rest API
• Powershell scripting (used for deployment and testing)

Desirable:

• Experience with the following Front End BI tools: Oracle OBIEE, Yellowfin, PowerBI and Crystal Reports
• Experience with the full Azure analytics stack (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage)
