Lead Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Architect to drive the design and implementation of our enterprise-wide data architecture. In this strategic role, you will define data frameworks, lead architectural decisions, and ensure the scalability, security, and performance of our data platforms. You will work closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams to shape our data strategy and enable advanced data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the enterprise-wide data architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Design scalable, high-performance data solutions, leveraging cloud-based technologies such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Establish and maintain best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
• Lead the development of data models, pipelines, and integrations, optimizing data flow across systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to define data standards, frameworks, and architecture patterns.
• Oversee the modernization of legacy data systems, migrating to cloud-based architectures where appropriate.
• Ensure data solutions support real-time processing, machine learning, and analytics workloads.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and architects.

Technical Expertise

• Proven experience in data architecture and engineering, with expertise in cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse).
• Strong knowledge of data modelling (relational, dimensional, and NoSQL) and data warehousing best practices.
• Expertise in ETL/ELT design and data pipeline orchestration using tools such as DBT, Fivetran, Airflow, or Informatica.
• Deep understanding of SQL, Python, and data processing frameworks (Spark, Kafka, or similar).
• Experience implementing data governance, security, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, or industry-specific regulations).
• Familiarity with microservices and API-driven architectures for data integration.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
