Mid-level DevOps engineer

A one-off opportunity for a mid-level DevOps engineer to get their foot in the door with a rapidly growing Australian software development company providing solutions for Australia’s health care industry.

Our client takes pride in developing software that enables health care and support workers to improve and enhance their services through automated notification systems, roster management, billing processes, data integration and security, and more.

Their goal is to enrich and empower the services of disability workers, age care workers, and allied health professionals by streamlining the admin processes behind the scenes through their cutting-edge software platform! This achieves rapid growth of businesses, as well as strengthening the network of Australia’s health care. Undergoing rapid expansion, they’re helping over 7,000 workers across the country and invoiced approx. 250M worth of revenue!

They’re now looking for a mid-level DevOps engineer to create new builds, manage and deploy automation solutions, and ensure configuration requirements are met, as well as managing the cloud environments and resources. The DevOps engineer will release applications and may even get the opportunity to manage code.

You’re responsibilities:

· Manage several AWS stacks, including design, deployments, configuration, alarms, performance monitoring and updates

· Rolling out fixes and upgrades to software, including web and mobile platforms

· Managing security patches and updates

· Resolve technical issues related to infrastructure

· Create and continuously improve and action system monitoring

· Analyse the and solve causes of errors

· Take pride in building elegant and modern processes

· Keep stack configurations, alarm functions up to date

· Work closely with back-end developers to plan and deliver features in an efficient way

· Write performant and well-documented code

· Have good (written/verbal) communication skills and contribute regularly to architectural and team discussions

What we are looking for

· Minimum 2 years industry experience with AWS infrastructure

· Experience with any monitoring platforms, NewRelic preferred

· Working knowledge of SQL and Databases (Postgres)

· Profound knowledge of Linux and any scripting language

· Experience with AWS Lambda is desirable

· Proficiency in version control systems, GitHub/Bitbucket/ or GitLab

· Development of infrastructure as code with AWS CDK or Terraform
