Sr Data Engineer

Salt is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our partner that is product startup tech company revolutionising their industry!

As a Data Engineer you’ll influence data-driven decision-making across the business to optimise our operations and identify new revenue streams. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing critical data applications, ensuring quality, reliability, scalability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and test critical data applications;
• Collect, analyse, and interpret large datasets to help the organisation make informed decisions, identify trends, and drive business strategies;
• Develop and build ETL pipelines;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success;

Requirements:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and modelling, including data libraries and frameworks;
• Skilled in data warehousing concepts and tools like ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes, data pipelines, and data integration;
• Experience with GCP, BigQuery;
• Experience with data visualisation tools will be a plus;
• Experience with CI/CD preferred;
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities;
• Excellent communication skills
