Finance Accountant

12-month initial contract

I am engaged with a Big 4 Consulting Group who are looking to add a Finance specialist to their team on an initial 12-month contract:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
• Bookkeeping: Record financial transactions, maintain general ledgers, and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and accounting standards. Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to assess the company’s financial health, profitability, and performance. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and financial forecasting. Provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal control procedures to safeguard assets, ensure data integrity, and prevent fraud.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with auditors during financial audits, provide requested documentation, and address audit findings and recommendations.
• Financial Systems Management: Oversee financial software systems, including implementation, maintenance, and optimization to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as finance, operations, and management to provide financial insights, support business initiatives, and drive organizational goals.
• Communication: Communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulatory authorities. Prepare reports, presentations, and analysis for various audiences.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiencies in financial reporting and accounting processes.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, and process redesign initiatives, as needed.
