Senior DevOps Engineer

12-month initial contract – with extensions

Salary: 40,000 – 55,000 SAR per month

I am working with a Big 4 Consultancy which is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join them on an initial 12-month contract, on-site in Riyadh:

• Serve as the DevOps lead, acting as the primary driver of the project.
• Analyze and assess the current software development processes, strategies, and methodologies.
• Evaluate the capabilities of existing tools, available resources, and the nature of support, then develop proposals and requirements to enhance these areas for future improvement.
• Contribute to shaping the Software Development strategy, including its vision, mission, and strategic objectives, and define the future approach to software development.
• Provide insights for the five-year roadmap and identify key initiatives necessary to achieve the desired future state.
• Offer input on the governance framework needed to support and implement the software development strategy and approach.
• Advise on the organizational and functional structure required to support the future state.
• Contribute to the KPI strategy, ensuring it covers all stages of the software development approach.
• Provide input toward the target DevOps Maturity Model.

Collaborate with the client project team to plan and establish the Software Development Activation Unit, including:

• Defining its vision, mission, and strategic goals.
• Developing the organizational structure, operating model, key stakeholder roles, governance framework, and communication tools.
• Creating a service catalog.
• Establishing principles and standards for activating the SD Strategy.
• Developing templates and forms.
• Formulating an operational plan, evaluating functions, and planning to adopt the operating model and frameworks.
• Contributing to release and deployment planning.
• Planning the activation and operation of the governance framework.
• Developing standards and metrics, defining measurable outcomes, and building a reporting framework.
• Creating a maturity assessment framework for the unit.
