Senior Frontend Engineer

12-month initial contract – with extensions

Up to 34K AED per month + visa + healthcare

I am working with a Big 4 Consultancy who are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join them on an initial 12-month contract:

The ideal candidate will leverage their advanced expertise in application programming to ensure that all application designs align with our architectural blueprint. You will create fully responsive applications, writing clean, modular, and well-documented code that adheres to the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance User Experience: Develop optimal solutions that prioritize user experience, optimizing for maximum speed, scalability, and technical feasibility.
• Document Deliverables: Create comprehensive software documentation including use cases, design documents, and technical specifications. Assist in story creation, define user acceptance criteria, and participate in end-to-end testing.
• Implement Libraries and Patterns: Understand and implement necessary libraries, patterns, and platforms to develop structured, scalable web applications.
• Coding Standards: Utilize your advanced knowledge to establish and adhere to coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
• Collaborative Integration: Work with multiple teams to ensure seamless integration of functions, identify system enhancements, and facilitate the deployment of new products and process improvements.
• Design and Architecture Review: Participate in design and architecture reviews, providing valuable input for continuous improvement.
• Technical Solutions: Analyze complex business requirements to develop innovative and effective technical solutions.
• In-Depth Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis to define issues and devise creative, profitable solutions.
• Compliance and Governance: Adhere to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards, as well as policies related to business continuity, information security, privacy, risk, compliance management, and governance.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 6 years in frontend web development with at least 4 years dedicated to building robust web applications in AI service organizations or the analytics industry.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong foundation in computer science principles and basic algorithms.
• JavaScript Expertise: Over 4 years of experience coding in vanilla JavaScript.
• Web Fundamentals: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and understanding of web protocols and modern web standards.
• JavaScript and TypeScript: Expert knowledge of modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
• SPA Development: Experience building single-page applications using React or other component-based frameworks.
• State Management: Strong understanding of state management in frontend applications, with production experience using MobX or Redux.
• Media Operations: Experience in handling media operations within the browser, including Canvas, Audio, and Video APIs.
• Database Knowledge: Understanding of both relational and non-relational databases, such as MySQL and MongoDB.
• Programming Principles: Deep understanding of programming principles, particularly SOLID principles.
• API Design: Knowledgeable in designing RESTful APIs.
