Salt is hiring an ‘Employee Relations Consultant’ on a 6- month contract here in Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Coach managers and employees on performance management.
  • Provide consultation on disciplinary actions and involuntary terminations.
  • Advice managers on employees’ individual issues (e.g., returning from long Leave of absence and reintegration plans, wellbeing).
  • Advice HRBPs and business on how to handle reorganizations from an employee resource perspective.
  • Mediate conflicts amongst employees.
  • Responsible for consultation with employees when required (i.e. changes in terms and conditions of employment)
  • Collaborate with Employment legal department, CoEs and HRBPs and provide general consultation on employee relations and employment law topics.

Skills Required

  • Solid knowledge of HR concepts, local/regional employment laws, and statutory requirements.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience partnering directly with mid-management and first line managers.
  • Strong command of principles, frameworks, tools, and solutions to increase organizational and leadership effectiveness including but not limited to, organizational design/workforce planning, change leadership, high performing team effectiveness and coaching.
  • Experience in providing guidance in implementation of reorganizations, M&As, individual involuntary terminations, performance management and investigations.
  • Inclined to use data to inform decisions and drive action.
  • Demonstrable experience in conflict management.
  • Ability to use own judgment to problem solve, make decisions and involve key individuals at the appropriate time.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and partnerships (internal and external) at all levels of the organization, exhibiting strong leadership and influencing skills, and lead change management initiatives.
  • Experience of working in matrix and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Exceptional verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
