Direct Response Copywriter

Salt is partnering with one of the best tech business & media companies out there to help them bring on a Direct Response Copywriter.

You will be responsible for performance based “wordsmithery” to support the daily email newsletter and premium subscription. You’ll be working closely with folks across teams to acquire, engage and retain the folks that read for free and those with paid subscriptions. You will champion their audience, getting to the root of what they love and create copy that delivers a unique experience.

Your day to day:

• Write a variety of copy each day for the daily email newsletter, including marketing campaigns and help cross promote owned media (ex content and podcasts)
• Write campaign copy to help convert readers in paid subscribers
• Write paid advertising and landing page copy that support full funnel marketing
• Occasionally, write free trial marketing emails to convert email opt ins into paid subscribers
• Write life-cycle marketing campaigns, including user onboarding to help educate new readers
• Collaborate with leadership across the business to ensure copy is top-notch and high-performing

What you’ll need to bring to the table:

• Experience writing competitive direct response copy
• You have written, tested and measured your results in direct response environment
• Your copy speaks for itself and SELLS
• Analytical aptitude to analyze campaigns, A/B test, and iterate toward better results
• Experience writing for media or tech-focused brands
• Ad-related schooling is a huge bonus
• Photoshop or graphic design experience is another helpful qualifier
