Senior Data Analyst

New York Contract / 3 months Negotiable

Our client is looking for a Senior Data Analyst who can manage complex data sets, build reporting frameworks and dashboards, and surface insights that help our clients make smarter decisions, optimize campaigns, and drive measurable business results.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, along with data visualization platforms like Tableau. You know how to structure an analytical approach, forecast outcomes, and, most importantly, turn data into stories and recommendations that are clear, actionable, and impactful.

Qualifications:

  • Data Proficiency: Hands-on experience with data tool stack in each of the following categories:
    • Data analysis & reporting tools (Google Sheets/Excel, Tableau, Looker, Snowflake, GCP, etc)
    • Proficiency with a desire to get to expert level on SQL
  • Forecasting: Experience with forecasting and have a POV for different methodologies. Must be able to benchmark and create testing plans as needed. Ensuring cross-functional understanding of goals and KPIs.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, social media platforms, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance data analysis.
  • Social Media Knowledge: Deep familiarity with social media platforms, trends, and metrics/KPIs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Apply marketing analytics techniques to evaluate performance across social media channels. Utilize SQL to query and structure large data sets. Leverage intermediate to advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills to clean, manage and manipulate data that inform insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards in Tableau (or comparable tools). Contribute to data pipelines through experience with ETL processes. Bring curiosity and adaptability toward applying cutting edge technologies such as data automation and AI.
  • Collaborate with peers on cross functional teams, fostering strong working relationships and ensuring actionable delivery of accurate and actionable data. Be a source of stability and strength within the team.
  • Combine technical expertise with strong social media expertise when it comes to measurement and impact.
