12-Month Contract |Austin, TX – Hybrid | Global Consumer Tech & Media Brand
We’re partnering with one of the world’s most influential tech companies, known for shaping the way we connect, create, and communicate through cutting-edge products and services. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll serve as a key partner to cross-functional teams spanning editorial, marketing, content, and QA. You’ll be responsible for overseeing linguistic asset management, terminology consistency, and the localization of high-visibility content such as App Store features, campaign messaging, and interface language.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and manage terminology systems: create, maintain, and update glossaries, style guides, and linguistic resources for up to 40 locales using in-house tools.
- Manage the review, input, and deployment of localized marketing content-ensuring alignment with brand tone and cultural context across international markets.
- Lead communication with editorial staff, business partners, language leads, QA teams, project managers, and external vendors.
- Implement best practices for globalization, internationalization, and localization across various workflows and documentation.
- Identify and flag cultural or linguistic risks, ensuring content remains sensitive and appropriate across all regions.
- Troubleshoot and track linguistic bugs across systems; follow issues through to resolution.
- Coordinate the translation, QA, and final delivery of marketing and UI localization content.
- Work in agile project management environments, managing tasks and timelines using collaboration tools.
- Anticipate tool training needs and guide vendor teams through evolving workflows and responsibilities.
- Support internal documentation, testing needs, and reference material creation.
- Ensure proper version control and accuracy of records across internal and vendor systems.
- Collaborate across time zones and handle aggressive delivery schedules while maintaining exceptional quality.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of localization project management experience, preferably within a fast-paced, global tech or content-driven organization.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of cultural nuance and linguistic quality across global markets.
- Solid grasp of the software development lifecycle and experience working within agile environments.
- Experience with terminology and style guide creation, translation memory management, and localization QA processes.
- Fluency in English required; native-level proficiency in an additional language highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Hands-on experience managing localized content within CMS, vendor platforms, and project tracking systems.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence.
If you’re a skilled localization professional who thrives in global environments and enjoys owning the details that bring high-quality content to life across languages and cultures-we’d love to hear from you.
