Are you a results-driven leader with a passion for financial excellence and operational efficiency? My client is a prestigious law firm- looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead a high-performing team of 20 professionals across a geographically diverse debtors’ book. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a critical finance function within a complex, fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

As the Accounts Receivable Manager, you will:

• Lead, mentor, and manage the Accounts Receivable, E-Billing, and Receipting teams.
• Drive improved cash flow through effective debt collection strategies and performance management.
• Oversee critical operational processes, including billing, statement generation, deposit allocation, credit notes, and client refunds.
• Collaborate with Partners and senior stakeholders to reduce outstanding debt.
• Ensure adherence to the Legal Practice Act and the firm’s internal financial policies.
• Manage complex client accounts and multi-currency transactions.
• Deliver regular, insightful reporting on billing and collections performance to inform strategic decisions.
• Support and train legal support staff to enable accurate and timely billing across all departments.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience managing large Accounts Receivable teams.
• Proven success in implementing process improvements and reducing debtor days.
• Prior experience in a legal or professional services environment.
• Strong working knowledge of WIP, trust accounting, and multi-currency operations.
• Advanced Excel skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent report design, data interpretation, and presentation abilities.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A clear criminal and credit record (to be disclosed during application).
