Bookkeeper

An established, proudly South African manufacturing business with a strong footprint in the power and electrical equipment space is looking for a trustworthy and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. The company services clients locally and abroad and is known for producing high-quality engineered solutions for medium voltage equipment.

About the Role:

Reporting into senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in managing the full bookkeeping function across multiple sites. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys structure, has a high level of accuracy, and is looking for long-term stability.

What you’ll be doing:

• Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
• Capturing supplier invoices, receipts, and general journals
• Managing customer invoicing and statement reconciliations
• Preparing PAYE and VAT submissions
• Liaising with external auditors and outsourced service providers where needed
• Supporting monthly reporting processes

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 5-10 years of bookkeeping / accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and up to trial balance
• Experience with VAT and payroll (PAYE)
• Stable track record with long-term commitments in previous roles
• Strong attention to detail and integrity
• Bonus: Exposure to the manufacturing or engineering sectors

Location:

The role is based full-time in Wadeville, Johannesburg.
