Finance Associate

A rapidly scaling climate tech company operating across Africa is looking for a commercially minded CA(SA) to join their growing finance team. This company is backed by top-tier climate investors and works with globally recognised tech clients – but prefers to stay behind the scenes as they build for impact.

As the Finance & Strategy Associate, you’ll work directly with the founders and finance leadership, owning key areas across modelling, reporting, forecasting, and fundraising support. This is a rare chance to help shape the financial engine of a business tackling some of Africa’s biggest environmental and agricultural challenges.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and month-end close
• Build dynamic models for performance tracking and forecasting
• Support investor reporting, data rooms, and capital strategy
• Prepare board packs, dashboards, and real-time decision-making tools
• Drive budgeting, grant reporting, and planning processes
• Be a key strategic finance partner to senior leadership

What We’re Looking For:

• CA(SA) with 3+ years post-article experience
• Background in finance, FP&A, strategy, or a fast-paced commercial environment
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets modelling skills
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-driven approach
• Bonus: Exposure to startups, agri-business, or climate tech
