Job Summary:

As a Change Manager at our industry-leading retail partner, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery and implementation of change initiatives within the Fashion, Beauty, and Home departments. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will ensure that project teams are effectively onboarded and trained while facilitating the upskilling of business resources. Your role will involve developing and executing change management plans and interventions to transition teams to new ways of working, with a specific focus on creating and implementing communication plans to engage stakeholders. Additionally, you will analyze the impact of changes on people, manage resistance, and ensure operational readiness, all while providing integrated engagement and communication across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery and implementation of change initiatives within the Fashion, Beauty, and Home departments.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to onboard and train project teams and upskill business resources.
  • Develop and execute change management plans and interventions to shift teams to new ways of working.
  • Create engagement plans and materials, with a focus on communication plans tailored to specific stakeholders.
  • Conduct stakeholder impact analyses and engage all stakeholders in embracing new ways of working.
  • Drive a future-fit mindset among teams, challenging them to adopt a mindset of learning and forward-thinking.
  • Analyze the people impact of changes to processes and ways of working.
  • Develop detailed implementation plans across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure a positive change experience.
  • Set up and manage a training and upskilling plan for resources.
  • Ensure operational and business readiness in collaboration with Business Champions and Sponsors.
  • Manage resistance and barriers to change effectively.
  • Deliver integrated engagement and communication strategies across the business.
  • Provide input into broader project engagement plans and shape key messages and communications for stakeholders.
  • Create relevant communications tailored to specific stakeholders and manage go-live communication and channels.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Establish and maintain all change documentation relevant to the change initiative.
  • Provide status and change reporting as required.

Functional Competencies:

  • Strong facilitation and communication skills at multiple stakeholder levels.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder and impact analysis.
  • Experience in change planning and proactive risk management.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in change management on medium to large complexity initiatives.
  • A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification or NQF aligned qualification.
  • Previous experience working within transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience in the retail industry is advantageous.
