Are you ready to dive into the fast-paced world of marketing in the FMCG sector? We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic team! In this role, you’ll assist with content creation for social media, newsletters, and campaigns, collaborating on graphic design projects using tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite. You’ll also manage social media platforms, engage with audiences, and track campaign performance.
If event coordination excites you, you’ll help plan and execute activation’s, trade shows, and seasonal promotions. You’ll play a key role in influencer marketing and PR campaigns, while keeping an eye on market trends, competitors, and consumer insights. Along with all this, you’ll support day-to-day administrative tasks and ensure everything runs smoothly.
We’re looking for someone with a creative spark, strong organisational skills, and a passion for team collaboration. * Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content for various platforms, including social media, newsletters, and campaigns.
* Collaborate on graphic design tasks using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
2. Social Media Coordination:
* Manage social media platforms, including content scheduling, audience engagement, and performance tracking using Meta Business Suite.
* Plan and execute seasonal campaigns (e.g., festive promotions or new product launches).
3. Event Coordination:
* Support the planning and execution of events, activation’s, and trade shows.
* Work on logistics, promotional materials, and on-site coordination.
4. Product and Influencer Marketing:
* Coordinate PR drops and partnerships with influencers to promote our brands.
* Assist in brainstorming and executing creative influencer-driven campaigns.
5. Market Research and Reporting:
* Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor strategies.
* Compile performance reports for campaigns and suggest improvements.
6. Administrative Tasks:
* Handle day-to-day marketing admin, such as liaising with suppliers, tracking budgets, and managing promotional materials.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Creativity: A strong sense of creativity and the ability to develop engaging campaigns and content.
* Technical Proficiency:
* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and basic video editing tools.
* Familiarity with social media platforms, analytic tools, and Meta Business Suite.
* Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
* Event Management: Experience in planning and coordinating events, from small in-store activation’s to large trade shows.
* Collaboration: A team player who works well with colleagues and external partners, including influencers and suppliers.
* Energy and Enthusiasm: A proactive, energetic, and approachable personality that fits with our dynamic, growing team.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal coordination and external brand representation.
* Flexibility: Willingness to adapt and take initiative in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.
This is a full-time, in-person role based in Epping, Cape Town. The ideal candidate must have a valid driver’s license and access to their own transport, as some travel may be required for events or meetings.
