Advertising Sales Executive (R300k p.a)

The Sales Executive will drive revenue growth by proactively selling promotional space, indoor and outdoor advertising, and coordinating impactful exhibitions and events. This role is at the heart of boosting mall activity, ensuring all promotional initiatives align with strategic goals and deliver value for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Revenue Growth

  • Actively sell exhibition spaces, advertising spots, and promotional areas to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Build strong client relationships through consistent communication, follow-ups, and tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and manage contracts for exhibitors, ensuring smooth processes and timely setups.

Marketing and Event Coordination

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to support sales objectives, including the conceptualization of exhibitions and events.
  • Liaise with tenants to promote mall events, facilitate newsletter updates, and drive participation in promotional initiatives.
  • Oversee the management and updating of digital platforms, ensuring content remains current and impactful.

Administration and Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions, contracts, and event outcomes in an organized database.
  • Prepare monthly sales and marketing performance reports to evaluate progress and identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure all documentation, including contracts and payments, adheres to compliance standards and is processed promptly.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to streamline operations and ensure seamless event execution.
  • Provide support to the marketing team during after-hours events and key activations, fostering a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Matric and a relevant post-matric qualification (diploma or degree in marketing or sales preferred).
  • Experience: 2-3 years in sales, marketing, or event coordination, ideally within retail or commercial property.
  • Skills: Strong sales acumen with proven negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and digital content management.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational abilities.
  • Other: A valid driver’s license, own transport, and flexibility to work weekends or after-hours as required.
