IT Business Analyst

Our client has consistently been ranked as the No.1 public university in Africa and is currently ranked within the top 12% of universities internationally, and they are currently seeking to appoint an IT Business Analysts on a 2,5 Year full time, fixed-term contract basis.

The ideal candidates will have a good blend of analytical, communication, and technical skills, along with proven track records of successful project delivery and team collaboration.

Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) include:

* Stakeholder engagement; information gathering / requirements elicitation; assisting with requirements documentation; evaluation of existing systems and processes to identify gaps for process improvement; assisting with the design and documentation of business processes, workflows and system requirements; assisting with solution design; support the quality assurance / testing process by creating test cases, conducting tests, documenting results and assisting with user acceptance testing; assisting with change management; providing BA assistance through the project lifecycle and SDLC.

Requirements for the job:

* An Information Technology, Information Systems or related Business qualification at a minimum NQF-6 level (i.e. Diploma or Advanced Certificate) PLUS at least 3 years of demonstrated IT Business Analysis experience in IT projects

* Proficiency in documenting business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.

* Familiarity with business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.

* A good understanding of project management and the software development lifecycle.

* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

The following are advantageous but not essential:

* Experience in South Africa’s public Higher Education sector;

* An industry-recognised certification in Business Analysis

* An industry-recognised certification in Project Management.
