Vacancy: Solution Specialist: Financial Accounting (Permanent Role)

About the Client:

Our client is a leading consumer-focused agri-business in Africa, committed to innovation and excellence. As part of their strategic business and IT transformation, they are seeking a talented Solution Specialist: Financial Accounting to join their dynamic team.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Solution Owner: Finance and Accounting, the Solution Specialist: Financial Accounting will play a pivotal role in the client’s IT Department. The successful candidate will lead and support Solution Architecture activities to develop and manage a portfolio of Finance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interprets business needs and develops Finance IT strategy.
• Translates business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints.
• Collaborates with solution owners and managers to ensure robust architectural solutions.
• Designs and delivers ERP enhancements/upgrades and changes.
• Configures and implements SAP FI/CO/AP/AR solutions.
• Identifies opportunities to streamline accounting practices using SAP functionality.
• Guides and supports the Finance Function in the adoption of budgeting best practices.
• Acts as a consultant and advisor on technology platforms and vendor offerings.
• Monitors current-state Finance solution portfolio and identifies deficiencies.
• Analyzes emerging technology trends and disruptions for practical application.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of SAP General Ledger and Accounting experience.
• Deep understanding of GL management capabilities and solutions.
• Excellent knowledge of SAP integration with logistics modules.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Well-developed business acumen.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively plan work and manage time efficiently.
• Advanced skills in MS Office.
• Willingness to travel to various locations within and outside South Africa.
