SAP Project Manager – ECC6 to S/4HANA Migration

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead and coordinate a major migration from SAP ECC6 to S/4HANA for a large enterprise client in the manufacturing/distribution sector. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of renewal based on project milestones and performance.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex SAP migrations, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional delivery within large enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project management of the SAP ECC6 to S/4HANA migration.
• Develop and maintain a detailed project plan, scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and communication across all business units.
• Oversee integration streams, data migration planning, testing, and cutover readiness.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Coordinate with SAP consultants, functional leads, and business teams.
• Ensure adherence to governance, change management, and compliance standards.
• Monitor project KPIs and report on progress to steering committees and executive sponsors.

Minimum Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager in large-scale SAP environments.
• Minimum of 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA projects (at least one migration from ECC6).
• Strong knowledge of SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, PP, or others) and integration points.
• Expertise in project delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder and vendor management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• PMP, Prince2, or SAP Activate certification is an advantage.

• Location: On-site in Alberton, South Johannesburg (Hybrid flexibility may apply)
• Duration: Initial 6 months, with potential for renewal
