Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with deep domain knowledge in LISP platforms, investment operations, and asset management systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of investment products, client lifecycle management, and operational processes underpinning a LISP environment.
This role requires a combination of technical fluency, stakeholder engagement, and strong analytical thinking, with the ability to translate complex investment business needs into functional and system requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the bridge between business, IT, and operational teams to elicit, document, and validate business requirements across the full SDLC.
Analyse and document existing processes, systems, and data flows within the LISP and investment administration environment.
Engage with stakeholders to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities in areas such as:
Product onboarding
Investment switching and processing
Fee calculations and disbursements
Regulatory reporting
Fund platform integrations
Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Work closely with solution architects and developers to ensure technical alignment with business goals.
Participate in UAT planning and execution, data validation, and post-deployment support.
Collaborate with compliance and risk to ensure regulatory alignment (FAIS, FICA, etc.).
Support change management and communication efforts for impacted users and teams.
5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, with at least 2+ years in LISP/investment environments.
Strong understanding of unit trusts, retirement products, tax-free investments, discretionary investments, and linked investments.
Experience working with or supporting systems such as LISP platforms, fund administration tools, or wealth management systems.
Exposure to SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Comfortable working with complex data sets, workflows, and transactional systems.
Excellent stakeholder management skills – able to navigate business and technical conversations with ease.
Knowledge of platforms such as Sygnia, Allan Gray, Ninety One, Momentum Wealth, etc.
Familiarity with retirement fund regulations, SARS reporting, or FICA/FAIS compliance.
Experience in system migration or transformation projects involving investment platforms.
